Day 478...Year 2

I have been saving a Target gift card since Christmas in the hopes of redoing my bathroom, since the kitten pretty much shredded my shower curtain last fall... Well, after months of searching I have ended using the gift card to purchase a new charger for my cell phone...

It's not the same as getting a new bathroom, but at least my phone can be used in case of an emergency...

Maybe I'm not going to find my shower curtain at Target, but I did need this cord... And I do still have some of the gift card left...

I think a part me was afraid the person that gave me the card would be disappointed that I didn't use it for the bathroom, but then it's a gift and I believe they gave me the card because they knew it was something I would use... Whether it was for a new bath set or emergency groceries, it wasn't going to go to waste...

Lesson for today, get down on a childs level sometime and really learn to play. I met my 2md cousin this evening. She is smart, outgoing, entertaining and she is only 3.5 years old. She reminded me how,to have fun tonight and she reminded me what unconditional love looks like. Not only was I invited to tea but.she asked me to read a story with her on the floor. She only knew my bff and I for a few hours yet she gave us both hugs goodbye. Kids are so willing to give others the benefit of the doubt and look beyond the physical appearance and get to know a person, why can't grownups do that as well? Something to ponder... Day 587...Year 2

As I sit and ponder what I have done over the last almost 6 years at Disney, the one thing that stands out more than anything is how blessed I have been to work with the people I have worked with... My COT mentors, My Core Team, My Training Managers, My Typhoon Team...  I miss my Core Team very much but it makes me feel so good to know that we each support each other in all of our pursuits... I love when I am working at my desk and my IM alerts me and it's one of the Cores... Now I won't be getting those alerts from the Principal... It was a great time celebrating his new Teaching job last night but something I wish we had done was go around the table and share our favorite Principal story... So, I will share a few of mine... I had the honor of being his first Disney trainer in Future World North... It was me against 3 guys and out of the 3 he was the only one that still remains at Epcot...
