Day 581...Year 2

What an incredible night of worship... Mom and I drove to Brandon just outside of Tampa to see Sandi Patty and Natalie Grant perform together for the first time and it was spectacular... Their music and stories were so moving... Sandi brought me to tears when she performed, "We Shall Behold Him." Then Natalie sang my new favorite song, "Hurricane" and it was just incredible... The night was topped when Mom convinced me to go back into the building following the concert to talk to Sandi in person... I have met her before so I didn't need anything for her to autograph.... I just wanted to let her know how much her music meant to me... So I got in line and waited... A few minutes later Mom joined me, opened her walker and handed me Sandi's Cookbook... I was very excited and so now I had something for her to sign... When it was my turn, I sent Mom up and got her picture with Sandi and then I went over, got my book signed and she did personalize it... The...

Day 553...Year 2

Today was a day of rest for the mind and the body... After sleeping in I awoke to do a few minor projects outside with the help of BFF while he did laundry and then Mom and I ran to take recycling... Following that it was reading and then falling asleep for I guess what can only be described as rest for my body, because clearly my bodied needed it... After awaking feeling refreshed I made my mom and I dinner... Black beans and rice with chicken sausage... Delicioso for sure...  We ended the evening watching the Gaithers and then a few videos on YouTube of the Citrus Tower in Clermont... Over all a very nice day for me... The last thing I am doing as I type is listen to some YouTube videos of two of my most favorite Singers... Sandi Patty and Larnelle Harris... "I've Just Seen Jesus" and then my most favorite, "More than Wonderful." http://youtu.be/SRTwUvZG5a0 Refreshed... Musicsongbird

Day 78 of 365

So, I received a Facebook message from my former pastor back in St. Louis asking how I was doing and if I get home at all anymore and just letting me know that they miss hearing me sing. And I have been thinking that sometimes I really miss singing too. I sang for every possible holiday, like Memorial Day was "God Bless America" and the 4th of July was "The Star Spangled Banner" (Sandi Patty's Version), Christmas was "O Holy Night", Palm Sunday was "The Via Dolorosa", and then it was always requested that sometime during the Easter Season our Music Minister and I sing "Mary Did you Know." Here is a video of the last time we performed it together before I moved to Florida. http://youtu.be/bd8bwcg1f7I I miss those days of singing at Church but I know I made the right decision in following my dreams to where I am now. As you have read in my blog, life is not always easy but God is getting me through it one step at a time. Love, p...
