Surviving the Storm... Part 4

Today was supposed to be a great day from beginning to end but sadly it didn't begin that way... I woke up like any other except that today a new journey was beginning for me... My 2nd decade working at the Most Magical Place on Earth was going to begin and I knew there was going to be a "Surprise" Celebration for me... I was so exited that I took my shower and got ready and headed into work... But when I got there the mood quickly changed... My co-worker immediately asked me if I had seen my friends Facebook post and when I had said no, I began to scroll and then all of the air went out of me... A young man that I had worked with since I started, had lost his life at the hands of another person yesterday... At first it didn't seem real... I went completely numb and then I looked at my co-worker / Friend and I just started crying... How can this happen to someone so young? To anyone at all? What would drive someone to did this to another human being? The morning p...

Day 221 of 365

It's good to be patient I have found. Because when I am patient other amazing things get a chance to happen.  Like I have said to myself before, if I am too worried about what my happen, I miss out on what is happening. Tonight I had a great time training a new emerging leader in my home location. I had the privilege of taking her onto the Stage in front of the fountain and getting to do the big wave goodnight. I love seeing the look on the face of my trainee as well as seeing all of the happy faces waving back at us. It's a time my trainee can look back on and know they were part of something pretty special. Moving on to a new position doesn't mean I am wishing away what I have, it's wanting to be in a position where I can do even more for the new cast coming in so that magical moments like the one we had tonight can happen more often. Love, peace and magic is real... Musicsongbird

Day 114 of 365

Another end to a great day. I had a fantastic day at work, a fantastic dinner at a restaurant I'd never been to before and just plain old fun before my friends had to leave. It's been a great reminder how truly important catching up with old friends can be as well as making new friends. I have so many great memories of this weekend that words really can't describe it.  Tears can only express my sadness of their leaving. So big hugs and safe trip to my friends. Have a magical trip home and know you can always always come again. Maybe we can get into the Rose and Crown next time. ;) Love, peace and Magical treats! Musicsongbird
