Day 545...Year 2

Today was monumental... I was able to mark another item off of my bucket list for this year... I went on my first Air Boat ride! (#Boggy Creek Air Boat Rides) Actually it was all three of us, that went on our first air boat ride... BFF and BGF and I... It felt amazing to skim across the water and see nature speed past us... Even though sometimes nature would smack me in the head or face... One bug hot my forehead so hard, that BFF heard it hit, despite our ear protection we were sporting... We got to see two female gators guarding their nests... It was pretty awesome to be that close... Before entering the no wake area surrounding the dock, we spotted a beautiful bald eagle atop of of the water markers... After a minute or two it took flight carrying a fish in it's talons... Oh how majestic it looked as it soared off back to it's nest... After we departed the boat we received a short lesson on gators and then had the opportunity to hold a young gator and have our photo tak...

Day 453...Year 2

It's so good to have a friend in your life, that when even you act like a total jerk, they still love you and still want you in their life... It's also good when you can own up to things you have done wrong, because if you are ready with an apology most of the time the person is more understanding then you think... I had a situation at work where I  messed up a training schedule... Instead of trying to cover it up and act like nothing was wrong, I owned it and went to the leader about it... Not only was she understanding, she also helped me in coming up with a solution and she wasn't mad... It's better to apologize and ask for forgiveness then to be caught in a lie and lose your credibility... Love, peace and own up to your mistakes... Musicsongbird

Day 385...Year 2

I received an instant message last night from a friend... He was a trainee last summer and we were instant pals... He was back in town and was going to be working tonight at my park and asked if I would be around... I told him I would be and when I was off work I went to the location and waited for him to come in... I haven't been in this particular location in a few weeks so when I walked into the cast area everyone I came in contact with was so sweet and so nice, making me feel like a family member that was home after being away on a trip... Well, just before he was about to be late for his shift he came walking in cool as a cucumber and clocked in, but not before getting a huge smile on his face and giving me a big hug... We were only able to chat for a few minutes but it was so nice to see him again... So very often, in my line of work, we meet people and we think we have created these amazing bonds, but once they leave you just end up with a lot of FB friends, but not "...

Day 263 of 365

Alright, so I have to first say I have some of the best friends I could ask for. You know that's true when you blog something one night and the next day people are asking if everything is OK. I love my girls, you know who you are... I want everyone to know that I am fine. Sometimes we struggle with things and we just need to get things out and we have to do it in our way. When we do it's good to know there are others there to lean on, even when  they don't know everything that is going on. So on to much more fun things... Don't you love when you get to feeling better and you are inspired to create? Tonight I got back to making candy like I used to. Tomorrow I will get to give it to others and hope they enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. Love, peace and share a smile... Musicsongbird

Day 204 of 365

I woke up a little worse for the wear this morning. After a great day of visiting with remembered friends at the Reunion and than worshiping with remembered family at church I had a tremendously enjoyable evening with my brother, sis-in-law, niece and her boyfriend. So I have to apologize for the less than acceptable blog... It's amazing what forgiveness and moving on will do for you. I know many past friendships were mended yesterday and renewed. I am so excited to know that some of my best gal pals from high school really want to stay in touch this time around. Today I had the great pleasure of meeting my brand new (6 weeks last Thursday) Great Niece. She is so beautiful and it was such a joy to get to hold her and snuggle with her. My Niece is such a good Mom and we all love her so much. I have to thank my other sister-in-law for taking care of me, since my Mom is at home on FL. I was suffering a severe migraine again today and she made sure we nipped it so I can...

Day 144 of 365

I have to start out by saying thank you Momma V., you know who you are. When you gave me that magnet tonight I realized someone besides my immediate family really cares about me and really supports me and I am so glad to call you friend. I must have needed to hear about branches and roots again because Rachel on Glee sang about who she needed to grow roots before branches last night and I think that is true in life. I was talking with a co-worker today and we were discussing how a lot of people in our lives have been trying to push us into meeting men because they want us to be happy and we both feel that right now we need to figure out who we are before we jump into pursuing any relationships. For me I think the words of the song rings true, that I need to grow roots (in who I am) before growing branches (reaching out to new relationships). Of course I paraphrased a bit and may have written as my own version but it spoke to me in that way. I have seen too many relationships fall a...

Day 113 of 365

I learned an important thing today, if you give yourself a chance to open yourself up to new things and new people you may find a new passion and you may find some great new friends. I know this is short but it was a long day with some fantastic friends, I just wish it hadn't had to end but when your body tells you it needs rest and care than you better listen. Remember? I wrote about that this past week. ;) Love, Peace and take some aspirin and call me in the morning Musicsongbird

Day 61 of 365

Today marked 22 years that I have known my BFF. Each year we try and set aside a day to hangout and,  do something special to acknowledge all the years we have spent together. I know some people think it's silly or weird but we are those things too. :) It's no stranger than celebrating telling people you love them once a year is it? It's a day for us to look back on the past years and see where we have been and where we are going and knowing that someone is there through thick and thin, good and bad even if they are the cause of it. ;) So today I just want to thank my bff for everything, the good, the bad and the ugly and believe me things have gotten ugly, but the great part of that is we have learned to forgive and we continue to love each other no matter how stupid or irrational we can be sometimes. So, love you lots bff, and I am so glad we met all of those years ago. When God made you, he must have thought about me... God made best friends for a reason.... he made ...

Day 39 of 365

What an interesting and fun day. It's amazing what can happen when you choose to let go of your fears and just go for it. My best friend invited me to go out with him and a group of his friends from work tonight to celebrate his co-workers birthday. I had a reservations since I didn't really know this person other than two chance meetings, so I wasn't sure how I would be excepted, due to instances in the past with other friends of his that I had met. But I agreed to go. Turns out two more of our mutal friends were there as well and we all had an amazing time. I met a few new people and liked them as well. For once I didn't allow my past experiences from hindering a fun opportunity to get out and meet some potential new friends! I know this is short but it's late and I must say goodnight! Love, peace and stay away from things fried in grease... musicsongbird
