Day 603...Year 2

I have so truly blessed this past six months to be put where I am... I have met so many incredibly amazing people... I am confident many of them are truly going to be there for the long haul... I love that I came into a place where I was welcomed with hugs and laughter and smiles... My desk is a testament to why I do what I do... The sweet messages from the cast and friends... It just shows that a little kindness and a smile go a long way... 

Each day I make my rounds to my areas and I smile and say hello to everyone I meet... No matter how focused they are they always stop what they are doing, say hello and smile back... Joy spreads like magic...

I especially love going into the kitchen and visiting my culinary team, or as I like to call them...my boys... They are always happy when I pop in and no matter how busy they are they take time to chat with me... One of my boys always tells me his day is much better seeing me, his teddy bear... This sweet man is old enough to be my grandpa but he makes me feel so special and pretty all the same... Joy is contagious...

Each time I stop in the cafeteria/break room I am greeted by both my cast and cast from the other areas with smiles and hellos... It reminds me of what a great team I have the privilege of working with each and every day... There is Joy in all languages...

I know people that are miserable with what they do, but instead of taking a chance or making a step towards making things better, they would rather wallow in their own self pity and try to drag down me and you...

My goal each day is to find someone that isn't smiling and give them mine... Share some joy with others, it's sure to make your day...

Tonight the TV show Glee memorialized Finn Hudson, who had been played by actor Cory Montieth, until his death this summer... I was a beautiful tribute to the character of Finn... The music was incredibly heart wrenching and I'm sure I am not alone when I say that I cried from the moment Mercedes' music began until the screen went to black at the end of the episode... I admire the writers of Glee for how they handled his passing, by not putting a name to it's cause; despite everyone knowing the actual cause of Cory's death... I know the cast were following their scripts, but I believe their emotions were true... The one thing I wish they would have played was a montage of Finn's character, perhaps with "Don't Stop Believing" as the background music... Day 159 of 366

So, the phonelines are down at my house so no internet but thamlfully my phone is cooperating with me. so this may come as a shock to some but I started seeing an acupuncturists last week to help me with my sinus problems. I can hear some of the critics now saying I'm going against my beliefs but I believe it takes just as much space to trust in eastern medicine as it does in western medicine, besides I believe that God led me to a place that can finally help me feel better without having to take all of those medicines all the time. since december I have been to the doctor every month at least once a month for a sinus infection, in the past week I have slept so well and I am finally breathing better. I thank God everyday for bringing this place to my attention and for allowing me to trust this was the right move for me. what I am learning from this is that when you focus on taking care of 1 party your body many times it will also help another part of your body. just like when y

You gotta have friends...

Building relationships is so important, because life is so boring if you have to do it alone... I am so thankful that despite being single, I am not doing this life alone... I am so blessed to have people that truly care about my well being... They text or call when I don't make it to work... They text just to tell you to have a good day or DM me adorable pics to put a smile on my face... Sometimes they will even switch food with you when you ordered the wrong thing, even if what they ordered is their favorite... They are willing to do whatever they can to ensure you are feeling better, or act totally outrageous dumb to get you to smile...  Sure we fight or disagree on things but in the end we love each other and we are here to take care of each other... These friends are so much more than just friends, they are family we got to chose...
