Day 342 of 365

Today is a day that will live in infamy... 71 years ago, the United States was attacked by Japan without warning... 

In just 110 minutes time the following things happened:
 - 2,335 US Servicemen lost their lives
 - 68 US Civilians lost their lives
 - 65 Japanese fighters lost their lives
 - 1,143 Servicemen were wounded
 - 35 US Civilians were wounded
- The Arizona exploded when a bomb breached it's forward ammunition hold
              - Approximately 1,100 Servicemen died on board
- After being torpedoed, the Oklahoma listed so badly it turned upside down
- USS Utah was sturck on the port side but what was believed to be 3 torpedos and was sunk. It was later rolled over to clear the channel but was left on the bottom
- 21 Ships of the US Fleet were either sunk or damaged
- 188 US Aircraft were destroyed, 159 damaged, the majority were hit before they could take off


We must never forget...

Lesson for today, get down on a childs level sometime and really learn to play. I met my 2md cousin this evening. She is smart, outgoing, entertaining and she is only 3.5 years old. She reminded me how,to have fun tonight and she reminded me what unconditional love looks like. Not only was I invited to tea but.she asked me to read a story with her on the floor. She only knew my bff and I for a few hours yet she gave us both hugs goodbye. Kids are so willing to give others the benefit of the doubt and look beyond the physical appearance and get to know a person, why can't grownups do that as well? Something to ponder... Day 587...Year 2

As I sit and ponder what I have done over the last almost 6 years at Disney, the one thing that stands out more than anything is how blessed I have been to work with the people I have worked with... My COT mentors, My Core Team, My Training Managers, My Typhoon Team...  I miss my Core Team very much but it makes me feel so good to know that we each support each other in all of our pursuits... I love when I am working at my desk and my IM alerts me and it's one of the Cores... Now I won't be getting those alerts from the Principal... It was a great time celebrating his new Teaching job last night but something I wish we had done was go around the table and share our favorite Principal story... So, I will share a few of mine... I had the honor of being his first Disney trainer in Future World North... It was me against 3 guys and out of the 3 he was the only one that still remains at Epcot...
