Day 404...Year 2

I am a mix between anxious and excited... I received a call today for an interview for a temporary assignment as a Coordinator of Training for Food and Beverage and Merchandise at Typhoon Lagoon... It is tomorrow morning and I am anxious for it because it's another interview, but I am excited because I get to see someone I haven't seen in over a year... It would be amazing if I got this TA, but even if I don't I get to reconnect with someone I really enjoyed working with in the past and it will prepare for me other interviews I will face in the future...

For over 20 years I have been searching to find a job I am truly happy with, one where I can say, "this is where I belong." I know not everyone allows themselves to find that perfect fit, but I am not going to give up until I do... Even though my job isn't always fun and glamorous, at the end of the day I know I can't stay away... I have had too many jobs where I have been miserable and life is too short to be unhappy...

So no matter what happens tomorrow, I know I tried and I am still in love with the company I work for and I will continue to make magic no matter what...

Day 52 of 365

Lesson for today, get down on a childs level sometime and really learn to play. I met my 2md cousin this evening. She is smart, outgoing, entertaining and she is only 3.5 years old. She reminded me how,to have fun tonight and she reminded me what unconditional love looks like. Not only was I invited to tea but.she asked me to read a story with her on the floor. She only knew my bff and I for a few hours yet she gave us both hugs goodbye. Kids are so willing to give others the benefit of the doubt and look beyond the physical appearance and get to know a person, why can't grownups do that as well? Something to ponder... Day 587...Year 2

As I sit and ponder what I have done over the last almost 6 years at Disney, the one thing that stands out more than anything is how blessed I have been to work with the people I have worked with... My COT mentors, My Core Team, My Training Managers, My Typhoon Team...  I miss my Core Team very much but it makes me feel so good to know that we each support each other in all of our pursuits... I love when I am working at my desk and my IM alerts me and it's one of the Cores... Now I won't be getting those alerts from the Principal... It was a great time celebrating his new Teaching job last night but something I wish we had done was go around the table and share our favorite Principal story... So, I will share a few of mine... I had the honor of being his first Disney trainer in Future World North... It was me against 3 guys and out of the 3 he was the only one that still remains at Epcot...
