Day 556...Year 2

No major pearls of wisdom this evening...

I just know that I am better for letting go of what I can't control and of putting the past behind me...

I also know that I need to let go of the fears and sadness that try to hold onto me for dear life and let God take care of it...

Celebrate...Day 5

Today I celebrate my oldest brother... He is celebrating his 55th birthday! He is 10 years older than me, so growing up he was more out of the house than in the house... Meaning by the the time I was hitting double digits (10), he was already out of the house... I remember going to the High School when he was playing Football and the crowd chanting for him when he would kick off... Then I remember when he graduated and moved into his first place... I remember his water bed and Farrah Faucet poster... LOL He was so cool... Then I remember his T.A., it was bright red with T tops and a black bra... He was so cool that when I was Senior he let me drive it to a School Dance! I remember him when he was Weight Lifting in Competitions and winning trophys and just being in awe of him... I remember when he became a Father and then a Step Father and now a Pa! Even though life has happened for both over the years I know that he is there for me whenever I need him... Day 185 of 365

It must be a full moon... Today I tried to fly...It wasn't on purpose either. I was walking down the stairs in one of our merchandise locations and misjudged the bottom step and before I knew it I was airborne and then crash landing. When I opened my eyes I was on my hands and knees and I heard a voice call down if I was OK. My response was I fell and then the tears came. The next few moments were a blur of voices and faces and hands helping me to sit on the stairs. I totally appreciate my two team members that got me laughing and trying to forget that my knee hurt and that I felt like a totally idiot for falling and also that they insist that I go to health services to get it checked out after the paramedics came. I have some great friends and co-workers. I am so thankful for all of them as I have said before. They made a possible horrible situation into something where I felt safe and taken care of. Day 28 of 365

You  really don't know how you effect someone else's life right away. Well, as I type this I am thinking, "no duh," but then I had to think about it. Let me see if I can make this more clear. Sometimes you meet someone or you have an interaction with them and you can see right away you have made an impact on them; whether by their speech or action. However, sometimes it can be very hard to read a person and their reaction to you later shows how you really were effected by you. This can be good or bad. I guess this goes back to the whole first impression thing. As a trainer I try to always give a great first impression to my new trainees. Since everyone is different in their behavior it can really easy to read them or nearly impossible. It's the nearly impossible I am referring too. I had this experience this week while training.
